Assemble the Pump Head with the Bracket/Motor Assembly
Instructions
- Step 1 - Place the Motor vertically on a piece of clean cloth on your workbench. The Motor should be rotated so that the Base should be facing you.
- Step 2 - Place the Pump Head with the discharge pointed to the top of the motor
Warning! The pump head contains the magnet capsule which is a strong magnet. Be careful of your fingers when placing the pump head which will be pulled by the Drive Magnet. - Step 3 - Rotate the Pump Head so that the bolt holes align with the Bracket
- Step 4 - Place the spring and flat washers on the bolts
- Step 5 - Apply grease to the bolts and apply to the Pump Head.
- Step 6 - Hand tighten the Pump Head.
- Step 7 - Place the Pump on your workbench on its Pump Base with the Pump Head facing you
- Step 8 - Use a level to check the Pump discharge against your workbench
- Step 9 - If the discharge flange is not horizontal, make small adjustments to the Pump Head
- Step 10 - Once the discharge flange is level with your workbench, tighten the bolts on the Pump Head. *
- Step 11 - Place the Pump vertically with the Base facing you. Use your finger to rotate the Drive Magnet through the hole on the Base (IPQC 1)
* Bolt tightening torque
PPG Material: 120 kgf*cm or 12 N-m
ETFE+CF Material: 100 kgf*cm or 10 N-m
In-Process Quality Check (IPQC)
The entire pump from the motor rotor to the pump impeller is connected by magnetic coupling. The Drive Magnet should rotate easily.
