Note: if your casing is socket welded, skip this step
Parts check
- Check the O-Rings to make sure there are no scratches or visible damage
- Make sure the O-Ring surfaces are clean and smooth
- Check and make sure the seal surfaces are clean and free from damage
Assemble the suction flange
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Place the Front Casing flat on your workbench
- Step 2 - Place the Inlet Flange onto the Front Casing
- Step 3 - Place the Inlet O-Ring into the Inlet Flange Adaptor
- Step 4 - Gently screw the Inlet Flange Adaptor onto the Front Casing (IPQC 1)
Pro Tip : Holding the Front Casing upright can allow you to inspect the progress and perform IPQC 1.
Assemble the discharge flange
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Place the Front Casing flat on your workbench
- Step 2 - Place the Outlet O-Ring into the Outlet Flange Adaptor
- Step 3 - Place the Outlet Flange onto the Outlet Flange Adaptor
- Step 4 - Gently screw the Outlet Flange Adaptor onto the Front Casing (IPQC 2)
In-Process Quality Check (IPQC)
- Check to make sure the O-Ring does not get caught between the Front Casing and Inlet Flange Adaptor which can damage the O-Ring
- Check to make sure the O-Ring does not get caught between the Front Casing and Outlet Flange Adaptor which can damage the O-Ring
