Parts check
- Check the legs of the Buffer to make sure there is no deformation or damages
- Check to make sure the Thrust Ring is secured to the Buffer by welding (IPQC 1)
- Make sure there are no damages to the Thrust Ring
- Check to make sure the surface of the Thrust Ring is polished and clean (IPQC 2)
Inserting the Thrust Ring and Buffer Assembly
Instructions:
- Step 1 - Align the legs of the Buffer with the guides on the Front Casing
- Step 2 - Slide the Thrust Ring and Buffer Assembly onto the Front Casing
- Step 3 - Check to make sure the Thrust Ring and Buffer Assembly is in the right position (IPQC 3, IPQC 4)
In-Process Quality Check (IPQC)
- The weld material should not be higher than the surface of the Thrust Ring
- If there are remnant weld material on the Thrust Ring surface, use a clean cloth to remove the debris
- The Buffer should be below the notch
- The legs of the Buffer must not protrude from the surface
