Installing the Thrust Ring and Buffer Assembly

1. Check the legs of the Buffer to make sure there is no deformation or damages
2. Check to make sure the Thrust Ring is secured to the Buffer by welding (IPQC 1)
3. Make sure there are no damages to the Thrust Ring
4. Check to make sure the surface of the Thrust Ring is polished and clean (IPQC 2)

Instructions:

• Step 1 - Align the legs of the Buffer with the guides on the Front Casing
• Step 2 - Slide the Thrust Ring and Buffer Assembly onto the Front Casing
• Step 3 - Check to make sure the Thrust Ring and Buffer Assembly is in the right position (IPQC 3, IPQC 4)

 In-Process Quality Check (IPQC)

1. The weld material should not be higher than the surface of the Thrust Ring
2. If there are remnant weld material on the Thrust Ring surface, use a clean cloth to remove the debris
3. The Buffer should be below the notch
4. The legs of the Buffer must not protrude from the surface
